Ecumenical Emergency Food Pantry
The Ecumenical Emergency Food Pantry, a non-profit volunteer organization, is located at the Thomas Slater Center at 2 Fisher Court in White Plains, and is dedicated to helping solve the problem of hunger in White Plains and surrounding areas. Food is distributed every Friday morning from 8 o’clock to 10:30. Clients are eligible for food twice a month, seniors every other week. Ninety or more singles and family units pickup bags of food (including staples, bread, eggs, meat, fresh fruit and/or vegetables) every Friday. Clothing is also available. The Pantry delivers to around forty homebound clients every other Thursday. Food is shelved and bags are packed by volunteers on Thursday mornings. For more information, please contact Lorraine Buonocunto at 914-428-5770 on Thursdays or Fridays from 8am to 12 noon. Canned goods and non perishibles will be greatly appreciated.
